Micah Harris has left his on-air role with WKYT and has moved to a sales position with the Lexington CBS affiliate.
Harris spent the last 5 years as a morning meteorologist with the station, but, with two children under three years old, “this schedule and having a young family doesn’t mix very well,” he wrote on Facebook.
“A few months ago I approached my bosses about the idea to move to the sales/marketing department and they have been nothing but supportive about the family decision. I have a great family here at WKYT and I’m extremely excited about the move,” Harris writes.
“I’m sad that I’ll never be up getting you guys ready for your day anymore, but I’ll still be around. With my new position I’ll be traveling across our region to different cities/towns helping businesses with TV advertising, so you may see me in your town,” he writes.
