Miami NBC-owned station WTVJ is launching a 4 p.m. newscast and adding a consumer investigative unit on Monday.

Trina Robinson and Adam Kuperstein will anchor the new hour long 4 p.m. show.

Myriam Masihy and Alina Machado will lead the new consumer unit, which is an extension of the station’s investigative unit. The consumer unit is modeled after the Telemundo investigative franchise Telemundo Responde.

“Trina and Adam make a great anchor team and they are committed to delivering the local news that matters most to our viewers,” said Migdalia Figueroa, vp of News. “With the launch of our new consumer advocacy team, NBC 6 Responds, our viewers will no longer need to face complicated consumer problems on their own. Alina is an enterprising reporter who is determined to help our viewers get the consumer answers they need.”
