Meterologist Jason Caterina Out at WXXA

By Merrill Knox

Jason Caterina was laid off this morning at WXXAWTEN in Albany, making him the latest victim of job cuts that resulted from the stations merging last year.

Caterina posted the news on his Facebook page, according to the Albany Times Union:

I guess it’s not official until it’s made Facebook official. I’ve really enjoyed bringing you the weather and more every weekday morning for the past few years, but this morning I became the latest victim of the shrinking staff due to the joint services agreement between FOX and WTEN and my job has been cut. So this morning’s show was, sadly, my last.

Anchor Ann Hughes and sports anchor Kristian Read were among the layoffs last month.
