Meteorologist Tim Van Horn has announced that he’s leaving Memphis NBC affiliate WMC. Van Horn, who has worked at the station for over 14 years, announced the news of his departure on his blog on Sunday, writing:
Family changes priorities. When taking into account my wife’s typical office-hours schedule & my all-weekend schedule, my wife, daughter and I have rarely been awake and all together for more than three hours at a time. This isn’t a knock on anyone or anything. It’s just a fact of the business for some. I can’t thank all of you enough for the living you’ve allowed me to earn over these many years.

Van Horn, who holds a real estate licence, is now working for Crye-Leike Realtors.
