Darrin Rockcole is going back to work for Lansing, Mich. NBC affiliate WILX after retiring last year.

Rockcole, who worked at the station for 30 years, is covering for summer vacations on the station’s morning show on June 10th and 11th. On June 12th, he’ll work the weekend starting with the morning news, then he’ll do the 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts.

“We appreciate Darrin helping cover weekends this summer, and fill in for vacations,” said WILX general manager Debbie Petersmark. “There’s nobody better we could have asked for!”

“I’m looking forward to being able to fill in where needed and deliver Mid-Michigan the weather forecast again” said Rockcole.

“Our viewers know Darrin, and they have missed him,” said news director Mike Schram, “He’s one of the area’s most trusted and accurate meteorologists and we’re excited to have Darrin rejoin the News 10 team.”
