Meteorologist Nelly Carreño is out at Boston NBCUniversal-owned regional cable network necn.
“Nelly Carreño no longer works at necn,” a station spokesperson told TVSpy. “We wish her the best in her future endeavors.”
New England One reports necn staffers got an email from vp of technology Keith Barbaria that read, “Nelly Carreño is no longer an employee at NBCUniversal and does not have access to the facility. If Nelly visits, she will need to be registered as a guest and follow our guest policy.”

Carreño has worked at necn since 2010. Her bio, which has been removed from the station website, says she started her career in Texas before moving on to “several large television markets like Dallas and Chicago.”
