Meteorologist Katie Horner has left St. Louis CBS affiliate KMOV to return to her family in Kansas City, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports:
KMOV news director Brian Thouvenot said the station and Horner reluctantly parted ways. “Not many people knew she was commuting back to Kansas City every weekend,” Thouvenot said. “We hated to see her go, but we also understand her wanting to be with her family.”
Horner previously worked at KCTV, the CBS affiliate in Kansas City.

The Post-Dispatch reports Horner will be replaced on the noon and 5 p.m. newscasts by Meghan Danahey.
