Houston NBC affiliate KPRC has announced the addition of meteorologist Justin Stapleton to its weather team. Stapleton comes from ABC affiliate KEZI in Eugene, Ore., where he was chief meteorologist.
“I’ve always had a fascination with hurricanes and tropical storms,” Stapleton told media blogger Mike McGuff. “That’s one of the draws to KPRC and Houston, an opportunity to forecast storms when they get into the Gulf and to be out in the field reporting when severe weather hits…”
Prior to KEZI, Stapleton worked at WCBI in Columbus, Miss., as a morning meteorologist.

He begins his new position at KPRC early next year.
