Meteorologist Jason Parrish Leaving TV News

By Aneya Fernando

Jason-Parrish1Jason Parrish has announced his departure from Clarksburg, W.Va.’s WBOY. Parrish, who joined the NBC affiliate in 2005, is currently chief meteorologist at the station.

In an interview with Connect Bridgeport, Parrish explained that he’s leaving the world of TV news to become a pharmaceutical representative at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, which will allow him to spend more time with his family.

“I know I’ll miss the people I work with because they’ve been so nice to be around. They’re good people,” Parrish told reporter Jeff Toquinto. “The benefit is that this will allow me to get more quality time with my family. When you get right down to it this move is about Nicki and our family. In the end, that’s all that matters. That’s what life is about and I’m ready to start a new chapter.”
