Meteorologist Greg Dee Leaving Little Rock for Cleveland

By Aneya Fernando

This morning, meteorologist Greg Dee announced his departure from Little Rock, Ark., NBC affiliate KARK live on-air. Dee joined the station in 2008 as a weekend meteorologist before transitioning to mornings.

“In his 6 years with us, Greg has grown tremendously. He started out as a role player and grew into the poster boy for our station’s morning shows,” KARK news director Austin Kellerman wrote in an email to staff. “That’s a big role – and he earned it every step of the way. I’m not sure anyone works harder than Greg. He made our stations better and forced all of us to pick up our social media game.”

“My time in Little Rock has been the most rewarding of my life,” Dee said in a post on the station’s website. “Little Rock has proved to be the best city that I’ve ever lived in. I will greatly miss the people of the state, they’re warm hearts and amazing ability to help each other when disasters and storms strike.”

Dee has accepted a position at NBC affiliate WKYC in Cleveland. His new role begins the first week of February. Check out Dee announcing his departure in the video above.
