Good Day LA has named a new co-host.

Effective immediately, Megan Colarossi will fill the anchor seat next to Steve Edwards. Colarossi replaces Maria Sansone. TVSpy reported she was let go from the station in January.

“Megan has proven to be the perfect combination of intelligence and warmth, and will be a dynamic addition to our morning team,” said KTTV vice president and news director, Kristine Knusten.

Most recently, Colarossi co-hosted “The Way Home,” a weekly lifestyle and home makeover series on the A&E Network. Prior to that, she was a daily panelist on “The Meredith Vieira Show.” In 2013, launched a regular segment The Today Show and Today.com with Willie Geist.

Collarossi, who is a Southern California native, calls this a true homecoming.

“I grew up here, went to school here, and my parents still live here. I am looking forward to some good home cooking, getting down to work, and sharing the stories that matter to southern California.”

Colarossi is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human and Organizational Development and Communications.
