Kenny Lawrence has been named GM of Media General’s Johnson City, Tenn. ABC and CBS affiliate WJHL.
Lawrence takes over for Dan Cates who left for Raycom’s Charleston, S.C. station WCSC in April.

Lawrence has spent the last two years as GM of KLFY in Lafayette, La. He’s also worked at WGCL in Atlanta, WBZ in Boston and as creative director at Warner Bros. Production.
