Media general Names Chief Revenue Officer

Julio Marenghi has been named chief revenue officer – broadcast operations, by Media General.

According to Media General, Marenghi “will be responsible for the development and execution of all advertising sales plans for Media General’s 71 television stations in 48 U.S. markets.” He’ll also oversee the local sales teams.

Marenghi comes from Tribune where he was president of ad sales. Before that, he worked as president of sales and president of WGN America. He’s also worked at CBS Television Stations, as president of broadcast ad sales and president and GM of WBZ-WSBK in Boston, Mass. He’s been sales manager at WNBC in New York and started his career at KGO in San Francisco.
