Media General Adds to Washington, D.C. Bureau

Media General says its Washington, D.C. Bureau Chief Jim Osman has added four reporters to the bureau.

Correspondents Chance Seales, Mark Meredith, Alex Schuman and photojournalist and producer Danielle Gatewood will join Osman starting tomorrow.

“We are pleased to appoint this accomplished team who will provide our local television stations and our content producing digital businesses with more in-depth coverage and localized analysis of important policies and issues, furthering our commitment to serve our local communities,” said Deb McDermott, Media General’s svp and COO.

Seales comes from WZVNWBBH in Fort Myers, Fla. He started his career on Capitol Hill during the second presidential term of George W. Bush. He’s also worked at KOMU in Columbia, Mo.

Meredith comes from KDVR in Denver, Colo. Before that, he worked at WMBF in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Schuman was a reporter at WHAS in Louisville, Ky. He’s also worked at WOI in Des Moines, Iowa. Gatewood comes from WUSA in Washington, D.C. where she was a photojournalist and multimedia journalist. She’s also worked at KTVK in Phoenix, Az. and started her career at KTVN in Reno, Nevada.
