Marvin Daugherty has been a meteorologist at WITN, the NBC affiliate in Greenville, N.C., for more than 32 years.
Daugherty, currently chief meteorologist at the station, is now passing the title on to his colleague Matt Engelbrecht. But fear not– Daughtery isn’t going away completely.
“We are beyond pleased to report Marvin is not retiring,” said Mark Gentner, WITN general manager. “He is simply reducing his hours and responsibilities so he can spend more time with his family and relax.”
Engelbrecht has been a meteorologist at the station for the past five years. Watch above as Daugherty passes the (literal) baton to his successor.
