A case of the flu canceled Maria Quiban‘s return to Fox-owned station KTTV.
“She apologizes to all of you,” Steve Edwards told Good Day LA viewers this morning. “She’ll probably be back here, I would guess Monday.”
“Fingers crossed,” said Araksya Karapetyan.
Quiban went off air in July to spend more time with her husband, who died from glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer, in December.
“I don’t know why this has happened, perhaps we will never know, but I do know that Brain Cancer is a deadly and incurable disease,” Quiban wrote on her Facebook page shortly after her husband’s death. “If you’re wondering how you may help us in any way, please help to spread awareness and in some way help fund more research so a cure can be found for Glioblastoma. I hope one day to make this my focus once I wipe away all my tears.”
