Manuel Abud has been named president and CEO of Azteca America. In his new role, Abud will lead the Azteca America broadcast network in the U.S., managing its 25 stations.
Abud was previously the president of the Telemundo station group. He will join Azteca America’s new leadership team, which includes COO Martin Breidsprecher, EVP of network sales Court Stroud and EVP of station group Enrique Pérez.
“Manuel is the ideal executive to lead Azteca America,” Gustavo Guzmán, senior ranking member of the Executive Committee of TV Azteca, said in a statement. “I’m confident that the experience and track record of Manuel and his new team will be a determining factor for the expansion of our network going forward.”
