Management Shake Up at Meredith’s Springfield Stations

There’s been a change in management at Meredith’s Springfield CBS, FOX and ABC affiliates WSHM and WGGB.

Patience Hettrick has been named news director of the three Meredith affiliates. Hettrick was assistant news director at Meredith’s Hartford station WFSB.

Her appointment knocks current WSHM ND Dave Ward down to assistant news director. Ward will now be assistant news director at all three affiliates.

Also, WGGB station manager and VP of news Jim Tortora has left Meredith.

Masslive reports “Meredith Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Art Slusark said the changes are part of a larger initiative to create a new and enhanced news product for Western Massachusetts.”
