Man Charged With Aggravated Assault After Pointing Gun at KTRK Crew

A Huffman, TX, man has been charged with aggravated assault after pointing a gun at a KTRK reporter Demond Fernandez and his cameraman and telling them, “Get off of my property. I don’t know who in the (expletive) you all think you are.”

The crew for the Houston ABC owned station was at the home of Harry Allen Ricketts to get his reaction to facing charges he allegedly molested a five-year-old girl.

Ricketts wasn’t happy to see us at all. We wanted to talk to Ricketts since a 45-year-old longtime sex offender with the same name has a listed address right next door to the man. The DA’s office say the younger Ricketts is now serving a 40-year prison sentence linked to the 2010 murder of Becky Hamilton, a Lake Houston marina worker.

Within moments of the elderly man answering the door, he immediately grabbed a gun and pointed it toward me and my photographer.

“We’re leaving. We’re leaving,” we said.
