WCSH–WLBZ reporter and weekend sports anchor Kayla Binette is joining TEGNA’s Columbia, South Carolina CBS affiliate WLTX as a general assignment reporter.
“It was a tough decision,” Binette told the Bangor Daily News. “But it’s time for me to branch out and go someplace different. Columbia is a bigger market.”
Binette has been at the TEGNA-owned Bangor and Portland, Maine NBC affiliates since January 2015. She started her career at Portland radio station WGAN after graduating from Syracuse University with a Masters in broadcast and digital journalism.
