Louisville Anchor Says Sinus Infection Turned Out to Be Coronavirus

Louisville, Ky., anchor Shannon Cogan has tested positive for the coronavirus. At first, she thought she had a sinus infection, but by Sunday afternoon the WAVE personality realized her symptoms had intensified.

“Well … I washed my hands constantly, wore a mask, cleaned house all the time, used hand sanitizer, put germ reducing oils in a diffuser … and learned today I tested positive for coronavirus. So it’s clear I could have done more,” Cogan wrote Sunday in a Facebook post.

After the anchor and mother started feeling her chest tighten, she went to the emergency room.

Her husband and children all tested negative. But because Cogan tested positive and is still recovering from Covid-19 symptoms, she will be quarantining for 10 days before returning to her job.
