KPLC meteorologist Ben Terry knew Hurricane Laura would be bad, so he evacuated his home in Lake Charles, La., before getting to work.
But what he didn’t expect upon his return was to see his house completely destroyed by the storm.
“My house is a total loss in Hurricane Laura,” Terry tweeted. “These pictures were taken less than 24 hours apart as we were evacuating Lake Charles.”
Terry is OK, and it seems he’s been working the entire time.
Hurricane Laura came ashore as a Category 4 storm earlier this week and has been battering Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas.
