Loriana Hernandez has announced she is leaving KTBC.
“I have some bitter sweet news to share this Tuesday morning,” Hernandez wrote on her facebook page. “After 7 years here at Fox 7 I have decided it is time for me to join my husband Cesar in the DC area so we can raise our 19-month old son Gabriel under one roof. My husband and I have commuted for the past few years so I could keep doing what I love doing here at FOX 7 but we need to be together as a family.”
The morning anchor for the Austin FOX owned station went on to say her last day on-air would be January 3, but plans to stay in Austin until late January.
Hernandez came to KTBC in 2007. She started her career at CNN and CNN En Español and has also worked at KSEE in Fresno and KXAS in Dallas.
