Larry Blunt, an anchor at WLOS in Asheville, N.C. no longer works at the ABC affiliate after 11 years there.
Ashvegas reports Blunt “was called into his manager’s office following a video shoot and unceremoniously told that his position had been eliminated, according to reports.”
He came to WLOS from KCNC in Denver in 2005. His bio has been removed from the station website.
“Today I was told my position has been eliminated at WLOS and that Sinclair Broadcasting is doing so at all of its stations,” Ashvegas says Blunt wrote on Facebook. “I was assured I had done nothing wrong.”
TVSpy asked WLOS about the move. We will update when we hear back.
