WGRT‘s award-winning main anchor Deborah Linz has left the station after five years.

“It’s been a journey these last 5 years and I am so grateful to have worked with such a hard working, talented group of people from everyone both in front and behind the camera,” she said in a Facebook post.

Linz has anchored the evening news for the Dayton, Ohio, station since 2013.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed connecting with our viewers out on stories and in the community. It’s YOU who bring energy and joy to the job!”

Prior to her time in Dayton, she worked at WCHS in Charleston, W.Va. She’s been voted best anchor by the West Virginia Broadcasters Association a dozen times.
