Longtime Atlanta Reporter to Retire

Longtime WAGA reporter Paul Yates is retiring after 40 years with the Atlanta FOX owned station.

“We’re very proud of Paul’s service to our FOX 5 Atlanta viewers,” A WAGA spokesperson said in a statement. “We wish him all the best in retirement.

According to Rodney Ho, media reporter for Access Atlanta, Yates’ last day is Friday.

He started working for the station when it was affiliated with CBS in 1973. According to his bio, he has worked as a floor director, film and tape editor and producer while at the station. He began reporting in 1977.
