KARK news director Austin Kellerman is moving up the Nexstar ladder and away from Little Rock, Ark.

Kellerman announced he will join the corporate team as Nexstar’s director of digital content based in Irving, Texas.

“I started my career as the overnight producer at Nexstar’s KTAL in Shreveport. Back then, we owned about 40 television stations. Over the next 15 years, the company and I grew together. In 2019, we now operate some 170 stations and 100 websites – with more to come before the end of the year. I’m proud and honored to continue serving the Nexstar Nation in this new role,” he said in a post on Facebook last week.

Nexstar announced its plans to acquire Tribune late last year. The deal has yet to go through.
