Lisa Fulk Promoted to News Director at WXII

Lisa Fulk, the current assistant news director at Winston-Salem’s WXII, has been promoted to news director at the NBC affiliate.

“I know Lisa to be someone who always does the right thing, and in her role as News Director, I can think of nothing I value more,” said Michelle Butt, president and general manager of WXII. “That is why I am confident that Lisa will continue to lead the newsroom and station, for years to come with the greatest successes yet to come.”

Fulk has been assistant news director at WXII since 2012. Prior to that, she was a digital executive producer at the station.

Fulk succeeds Barry Klaus, who is returning to his native New York after 11 years at WXII.

Fulk’s appointment is effective immediately.
