Leonard Steps Down as VP-GM of Denver Duopoly

Dennis Leonard, vice president and general manager of Denver television stations KDVR-Channel 31 and KWGN-Channel 2, is stepping down a year and a half after his arrival, saying he’s “ready to re-evaluate my priorities.”

Leonard–who arrived in September 2008–presided over a difficult consolidation period for the two stations, including the move of KWGNs operations from its Greenwood Village studios into KDVRs Speer Boulevard quarters as well as staff cuts.

“This has been the greatest challenge of my career, and I’m thrilled with everything weve accomplished, Leonard said in a statement. “The team here is all but in place and the stations are on an upward trend.” More…
