Legendary Albany Anchor Announces Retirement After 30 Years

Longtime WTEN anchor Elisa Streeter is retiring at the end of the year.

“For all of you wonderful viewers and Facebook followers in the Capital Region, I want to share some special news with you. After 30 fantastic years here at News10, I will be retiring at the end of this year! I have been so fortunate to work with so many compassionate, smart and truly funny people throughout the years,” she said on Streeter.

Streeter has been a staple in local news in Albany for more than 30 years. She currently co-anchors the 4, 4:40, 5:30 and 11 p.m. newscasts for the Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate.

The mother of three says she will spend more time with her family upon retirement.
