Laura Simon Leaving Fort Smith Station for St. Louis

KFSM morning anchor Laura Simon is leaving the Fort Smith, Ark. CBS affiliate.

Simon told viewers she’s leaving the station to work in her hometown of St. Louis, where she said she’ll anchor weekend mornings and reporting weekdays at KTVI-KPLR.

“The TV news business has taken me all over the country to cities like Chicago, Joplin, Kirksville/Ottumwa and Northwest Arkansas/the River Valley. Looking back, I wouldn’t change my career for the world.” she wrote on Facebook. “My advice to the next generation of journalists would be to go after your goals, but don’t get too attached to the outcome.”
