Las Vegas Anchor Dave Courvoisier Returns to Local News

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

In 2017, Las Vegas anchor Dave Courvoisier left KLAS and said publicly he was leaving the television business. Three years later, he’s coming back—to a different channel.

Courvoisier will be the newest morning anchor on Good Morning Las Vegas on KTNV. He will anchor alongside Kalyna Astrinos, Justin Bruce and Marissa Kynaston.

“How lucky am I to find myself back at the best TV news operation in the top news city in the country,” Courvoisier said. “We are Las Vegas. I’m so looking forward to working with the excellent team at 13 Action News and reacquainting myself with all my friends and colleagues in the city where I’ve spent so much of my career.”

In his new role, the Emmy Award-winning broadcaster will anchor the 4:30 a.m., 5 a.m., 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. shows.

“Perhaps where Dave excels most is in the field, reporting live events,” said news director Nancy Bauer. “Breaking news is his strength. Helping viewers to understand what is happening, while it happens. He is a rare breed of anchor—the guy you turn to when you want the story behind the story.”
