According to the L.A. Deputy Dist. Atty. Jodi Taksar alleged in a statement that Raines beat the victim once parked on the side of the road and attempted to strangle her daughter.

Sherriff’s deputies arrested Raines about 4:40 a.m. on Aug. 31, according to jail records. After posting $30,000 bond, Raines was released from custody about 2:30 p.m. that day, jail records show.

If convicted, Raines faces up to four years in state prison.

Dallas Raines marked 30 years with KABC in June 2014.
