When you relocate for a job, it’s hard to forget your roots.
That’s what happened to former WTIC reporter Laurie Perez this morning. In 2014, she moved from Hartford, Conn., to Los Angeles to report for KCBS-KCAL.
Perez was doing a live shot for the morning show at a sporting goods store selling Los Angeles Dodgers shirts after the team secured a spot in the World Series. When the anchor asked who she was going to root for, she said the Red Sox.

She took heat from viewers, who expected Perez to be cheering on her new home team.
