KYW Reporter Gives Aspiring Student Journalist a Shot During Snow Day Coverage

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

During snow coverage Wednesday, KYW reporter Vittoria Woodill gave an aspiring reporter a chance to test her skills.

She handed the microphone over to Germantown Academy high school student Caitlin Boland-Szura in Glenside, Penn., a town just outside of Philadelphia.

“You just want to explain the current situations,” Woodill told Boland-Szura as she prepped for her shot. “It’s pretty snowy conditions,” she said.

The student interviewed two kids who were off from school and did a mock live shot to set the scene.

“I guess I should just savor this moment until she takes my job,” Woodill said.
