TEGNA’s Sacramento ABC affiliate KXTV has hired Sam Cohen as news director.
KXTV GM Risa Omega confirmed with TVSpy that Cohen has been named Director of Content overseeing both TV and Digital.
Before Cohen took over for Jerome Parra, who left at the end of May, she was the ep of Digital and Social.

She’s also worked at Sacramento’s Fox affiliate KTXL as ep of Digital Content and as a senior producer. She was a news producer at KUTV in Salt Lake City and WDJT in Milwaukee, Wisc.
