KRIV Anchor Makes Move to Sister Station in Los Angeles

KRIV morning reporter-anchor Rita Garcia is leaving Houston for Los Angeles. She told viewers she is joining the Fox owned sister station in the number two market, KTTV.

Mike McGuff reports that Garcia spent a couple days filling in on the Good Day LA anchor desk in October.

Fox 26 anchor Melissa Wilson posted “she’s one of the best, hard to see her go, but so happy for her bright future.”

This is a return for Garcia. She came to Houston from LA where she worked at a freelance reporter for KCBS 2.

She started her career at KRGV in Weslaco, TX.
