Oakland Fox owned station KTVU says anchor Frank Somerville will focus on his health after his quick exit from last Sunday’s 10 p.m. newscast.
A station spokesperson told TVSpy, “We can confirm Frank is taking time away from the desk to focus on his health and we welcome his return when he is ready.”
Somerville was struggling to read the teleprompter and was slurring his words during Sunday night’s newscast. About 15 minutes into the show, he left without explanation leaving co-anchor Julie Haener to finish alone.
