KTVU Anchor Reveals His Racial Bias, Wants to Start Conversation

By Kevin Eck

KTVU anchor Frank Somerville is hoping to start a conversation about race by volunteering his thoughts first.

Somerville, who anchors at the Oakland Fox-owned station, is a giant in the social media sphere in the San Francisco Bay Area market, regularly getting big Share numbers, according to Share Rocket.

He posted a story on his Facebook page about judging a man just because of the color of his skin, despite having a mixed race family. Upworthy made a video about it. We just saw the video, which led us to this story.

“If I want people to talk, well I have to put myself out there first,” said Somerville.
