Ruben Villaescusa has been promoted to assistant news director at Los Angeles FOX owned station KTTV.
Villaescusa has worked at KTTV for 21 years. In that time, he’s worked as a writer, a producer, and an assignment editor before working as an assignment manager. He’s never worked anywhere other than LA in his TV career. He started at KTLA before working at KCOP and returned to KTLA before coming to KTTV.
“I’m both proud and humbled to be given this opportunity to help lead Fox 11 as we provide our viewers with smart, informative and engaging local news,” said Villaescusa.

He replaces Tom Searson who retired last month.
