KTRK Will Produce a Virtual Town Hall to Discuss Protests in Houston

KTRK, the ABC station in Houston, is hosting a virtual town hall to discuss an issue that’s divided our country this past week: the relationship between law enforcement and communities of color.

ABC13 anchors Melanie Lawson and Chauncey Glover will host the event on Thursday, June 4, from 7-8 p.m. CT.

– Trae Tha Truth, musical rapper and local community activist
– Bun B, musical rapper and local community activist
– Gerald Horne, Moores professor of history at the University of Houston, whose research has addressed issues of racism in a variety of contexts involving labor, politics, civil rights, international relations and war.
– Rev. William Lawson, president and founder of Outreach Strategists, also founding pastor of Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church

Viewers are being encouraged to submit questions online. The town hall will stream live on ABC13’s Facebook Live, YouTube, ABC13’s app and ABC13’s connected TV apps.
