By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

KSWB is expanding news at 10 p.m. from 60 to 90 minutes.

The Tribune-owned Fox affiliate in San Diego announced that the new extended show will begin April 23.

“In 2008, Fox 5 launched 32 hours of local news in San Diego, and in less than 10 years we’ve grown to deliver 56.5 hours of news a week, the most hours of local news in the San Diego market. This expansion reaffirms our pledge to serve our community with the best in local news,” said Rich Goldner, Fox 5’s vice president and news director.
