KSNV Drops Entertainment Beat After Reporter Alicia Jacobs Became Tabloid Fodder

By Andrew Gauthier

Entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs is out at Las Vegas’s KSNV.

The move comes just a week after Jacobs became TMZ fodder as her ex-boyfriend Vince Neil was charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct stemming from a public confrontation with her at a local nightclub.

“She is not an employee of ours anymore,” KSNV owner Jim Rogers confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal this week. Asked if Jacobs was fired, Rogers said that the departure “was mutual.”

According to Jacobs, the move was the result of KSNV’s desire to minimize its entertainment coverage. On Monday, she tweeted: “plz dnt b upset w/ KSNV, they R not covering Entertainment anymore, but they DID give me options.”

While sources say that the NBC-affiliate had wanted to get out of the entertainment game for quite some time, it’s hard not to see Jacobs’s much-publicized fight with Neil as the final straw.
