Doug Barden no longer works as news director at San Luis Obispo NBC affiliate KSBY.
Barden’s LinkedIn page notes he left the station this month. TVSpy asked station gm Kathleen Choal for confirmation via email, but we have not heard back. A call to KSBY revealed the station is without a news director and a check of the website shows Choal’s name and email in the position.
Barden came KSBY in 2011 from KBAK-BBFX in Bakersfield, Calif. He’s also worked as assistant news director at KSTU in Slat Lake City, Utah and KRNV in Reno, Nevada.
