KSBW Names Replacement for Longtime Sports Anchor

Drea Blackwell has been named sports anchor for Salinas-Monterey, Calif. NBC affiliate KSBW.

The San Jose State University graduate replaces Dennis Lehnen who announced his departure after 35 years on Friday, August 5.

“We consider it an honor to serve the California Central Coast community in delivering the best, most comprehensive news, weather and sports coverage for our local viewers,” said president & GM, Joseph W. Heston. “We also take great pride in seeing Drea, a Monterey native, succeed in her new role.”

Blackwell has worked at KSBW since 2014. She joins Dan Green, Erin Clark and chief meteorologist Lee Solomon weekdays at 5, 6 and 11 p.m.
