KOTV meteorologist Megan Gold was crowned Miss Oklahoma last Saturday night.
“OKLAHOMA- I LOVE YOU!!!! 13-year-old me would never believe this,” Gold wrote on Facebook. “I’M MISS OKLAHOMA 2022! Thank you, Jesus, for the opportunity to serve and love. I can’t even find the words to describe how my heart feels right now. Thank you will never be enough to those who have loved and supported me throughout this journey… especially my KOTV – News On 6 family.”
Gold has worked at KOTV, Tulsa’s CBS affiliate, since January. She worked at KYTV in Springfield, Mo., before that.
Along with her title, she received a $25,000 cash scholarship to further her education and will represent Oklahoma in the Miss America Competition. She’ll represent Oklahoma in the Miss America pageant on June 25.
