KOTV Meteorologist Keeps Pig Kissing Tradition Alive

By Kevin Eck

KOTV chief meteorologist Travis Meyer followed in the footsteps of other Griffin Communications’ meteorologists by kissing a pig to raise money at a state fair. This pig’s name was Wilbur, if you’re wondering.

Each anchor got a donation box. Viewers voted by putting money in the box of the anchor they most wanted to see kiss the pig. The anchor with the most money got the honor. The pre-bacon smooch raised over $8,000 for the Food for Kids program.

Last year Leanne Taylor did the deed. The year before it was David Payne who is the chief meteorologist at Griffin’s Oklahoma City station KWTV.
