KOCO Legend Ida B. Dies at 87

Local TV legend Ida Blackburn has died at the age of 87.

Blackburn, who has been described as a pioneer for women on TV, first appeared on Oklahoma City ABC affiliate KOCO as a teacher on Romper Room, then as the host of her own show, “The Ida B. Show.” Her on-air career spanned three decades.

KOCO says she died Saturday night after suffering from health issues.
