KNBC Assistant News Director Heads To Bay Area As GM

KNTVKSTS has named a new president and general manager. She is the former assistant news director at KNBC, the NBC owned station in Los Angeles.

Stacy Owen will oversee the Bay Area NBC and Telemundo-owned stations and oversee all operations of both stations including news, sales, marketing and promotions, technology, digital and community affairs.

“Stacy is a talented news professional and a strategic thinker. She has served as News Director for three stations prior to joining us in Los Angeles to help strengthen KNBC’s news efforts. She is a collaborative, inspiring manager, and a dedicated local broadcaster,” said Valari Staab, president of NBC owned stations.

Prior to KNBC, Owen worked was the news director at WLWT News 5, where she served as news director for three years and the multimedia news director at KXTV and news director at KRON in San Francisco.

Owen completed her undergraduate degree at University of California, Berkeley. She will be relocating to the Bay Area.
