By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

KMSP-WFTC is expanding daily news production and will broadcast 11 hours of local news, five days a week.

Today the Fox station announced Tim Blotz and Naomi Pescovitz will anchor the Fox 9 News at 6:30 and the hour-long Fox 9+ News at 7 p.m.

“People are busier than ever, and we need to be ready to deliver quality local news that fits their schedule. With their hometown knowledge and strength in reporting, Tim and Naomi are the perfect pair to take on this challenge,” said vice president and news director Marian Davey.

Blotz has been the station’s weekend anchor and political reporter for the past 14 years.

Pescovitz most recently served as the solo anchor for the half-hour edition of the Fox 9+ News at 7 p.m. and prior to that, she was an anchor and reporter for WTHR, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis.
